Anyone willing to walk me through installing everything

I just bought a 2ds on 6.0.0-12U can anyone help guide me through hacking it, and updating it, I have some small questions about hacking like what size sd card should I use? Im also a bit nervous and wondering if anyone can walk me through it? I was wondering if I should use a the stock 4gb card, an 8gb card or a 32gb card. since I was wondering if you store roms and everything on the card or on the console or how that works with rx tools.
