How much battery life do homebrew and emulators consume compared to normal 3DS games?

As I understand it, DS games consume less power than 3DS games, and GBA games consume less power than DS games. Which means, if I want to use my 3DS for the longest possible time, I should go with a GBA virtual console game. Is this understanding correct?

But, compared to all these ways of playing games on the 3DS, just how battery consuming are homebrew applications and emulators? Would an NES emulator (say, VirtuaNES, for example) consume the same amount of power as a 3DS game? What about...

Retroarch and Gameyob never got polished enough to have decent sound. Did anyone else work on another Game Boy emu for the 3DS with good sound?

Okay so there is no TKCD Save Editor For homebrew As Of Now and i was wondering if someone could send there save Files that have a lot of Gem Apples to me so that i could use JKSM To import it to my copy

This thread I'll dedicate to DSiWare designed to launch older DS flashcarts on the 3DS/n3DS. (and by old, I mean VERY old stuff. Stuff my TWL Slot-1 Launcher fails to work for)

This is separate from my TWL Slot-1 Launcher due to the fact that this works a bit differently and each launcher (if there are more I get working in the future) are specific to their flashcart and can't be used to launch slot-1...

I've always been disatisfied with the original BA9, it was kinda weird with specific environments, etc... so I did the only logical thing.
I rewrote it from scratch (more than once!).

The new BAX uses lossless compression (LZ4) and delta encoding to work around some of the issues like the low resolution of the 3DS screens and fundamental problems like MJPEG size.

It uses a 16 bit color space (RGB565) and lossless compression, which leads to (IMHO)...

I fully appreciate the features that Luma3DS currently supports, and I hope that in the future that the organization of the 3DS homebrew apps and cfw will be as organized as they were in the Wii/PSP/PS3 scenes (lists, features offered, and such) and become fully fleshed out as more time passes.

As of right now, I'm trying to find a full solution to the Gateway 3DS transition to A9LH Luma3DS with all/most of the aforementioned features that Gateway offers (.CIA/.3DS support, EmuNand, Cheats,...

So got some noob questions. I just started to get back into hacking again after about 6 months. My questions are:
1. Howndonyou get emulators on your 3Ds.
2. I have a 2Ds with fw14 and over is there anyway to hack it without soldering or using a specific game to hack it?
3. Last but not least my 3ds is currently running god mode I believe how do I update it?

Help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance for helping me with the noob questions.

How can I get FBI without homebrew or flashcart?

Hi! So I have a bit of a problem. I dont want to go out and buy a 3DS Flashcart. But my 3DS system is banned. So I cant get a game from the Eshop that is a valid Homebrew entrypoint. I was just wondering if there was a way to install FBI, without buying a flashcart or new game? P.S. Im on firmware 11.6.0-39 US.

VirtuaNES for 3DS v1.01 Released (23 Dec 2017)

Free shop not loading ANY games after update?

Just got back onto my 3ds and haven’t played since November. Free shop updated and shocked that it wasn’t loading any games. Bought the 3ds of someone so have no idea what to do... please help I’ve already brick my old 3ds and my ps vita is corrupted so I really don’t want to stuff this up! Title keys maybe or do I need to update URL or something?

It appears that users are being banned from 3DS online services, en masse. There's no direct cause right now, and seemingly no linking factor. This post is meant as an announcement for users, to be wary, and that GBAtemp will keep you updated as soon as more info rolls in. If you have been banned, please post in the thread below, and we will try to keep tabs on the situation. To be extra sure, it can't hurt to turn off your 3DS's wireless...
