I have finally got the equipment to work around broken hardware by patching software. Well... you can already do that, but nobody has done it yet (or at least, not publically) for things like the volume and the 3D slider. There are some nice possibilities now that <overdramatization>I've got the power</overdramatization> to patch MCU_FIRM.

Let me name a few possible patches:
- disable volume or 3D slider and only allow it to be controlled from software
- re-add the WiFi button (or a broken...

Deleted Streetpass Mii Plaza DLCs (Which Was Downloaded from Freeshop)

Hi. A few days ago I decided to reset all the games that I have cheated. I want to play games without cheating. But I accidentally deleted a DLC game from Mii Plaza when resetting another game's progress. I tried to go to VIP Room, the bunny allows me to re-download, but it always shows error. Now freeshop is down... Please help!!

I haven't used my 3ds since around the time free shop went down. I opened up my ultra sun game today though. Is it still ok to go in festival plaza? I don't have any hacked Pokemon. Just playing on a free shop version though. I haven't updated yet either. I'm still on version 11.6.0. I probably have to update before it Will let me go in festival plaza. No recent 3ds ban waves?

TWLLauncher++ NDS Roms on 3DS Homescreen (Shortcuts?)

I know this exists for Flashcarts (not all but some) but is this possible with TWLLauncher++ (since most games can now be natively played through a .nds file)
(Reason I ask is I get some people may like the whole DSi menu port thingy but I find it unnecessary and the load-time without intro is stupidly long)

Remember the homebrew I did almost a year ago which used the power saving mode on a new3DS to make the screen more red? Yeah, me neither :P It had many problems, almost everything got rid of the effect, and it only worked on new3DS in power saving mode because the old3DS lacks the required hardware. Also, the flicker caused me headaches, so I stopped the project there.

Well, now I fully reverse-engineered a GPU register which controls this, and thus I recreated the old design based on the...

GameYob 3DS - GB/C emu

A port of GameYob to the 3DS - a Gameboy / Gameboy Color emulator.

There is a compatibility list here.

Usage
By default, it looks for roms in the /gb directory of your SD card (NOT gateway's microSD card). As always you can change this directory in gameyob.ini by editing these lines:

Kurok is a quake mod made by MDave and originally released for the psp.
This mod is based on turok and features a full (voiced!) singleplayer campaign, online multiplayer and offline multiplayer with bots including deathmatch and cooperative gamemodes.
I fixed the menus, ui, sprites along with some bugs and crashes to make it playable, it's also completely stand-alone from ctrquake.

Hi! I have a question to ask, hope I can get a good answer.

I've been using OOT3DHax for a while now successfully but now I would like to start playing with CFW.

I have an old 3DS recently updated to 11.8. I want to do the Frogminer method, but you need Steelhax for that, and I'm concerned.

Do I need to uninstall OOT3DHax before trying to get Steelhax (I only need it for use with Frogminer)? If I leave it as is, will anything go wrong? What should I do?

So around week ago, I messed around with the Luma 3DS, A9LH and Boot9Strap softwares. I was following this Russian guy's tutorial on it. It managed to soft brick my 3DS. My 3DS wouldn't turn on. Then, I followed another guy's tutorial to fixed the bricked 3DS. The A9LH screen would be the first thing I saw when I loaded my 3DS up, so I had to keep pressing start every time I turned it on, and wait another 3-5 mins to be loaded into the normal 3DS homescreen. I formatted the 3DS through...

I've been out of the 3DS and CFW world for a while now, and just came back. I know the QR injection method has been patched since 9.5, is there any other way to inject pokemon besides JKSM using PKHeX?

I have gone all over the internet. I still have yet to find an answer. Is there a way to make a TWL_Firm from arm7.bin and arm9.bin? I dumbed them from an actual DSi, and I don't know if firmtool will work, so somebody please point my in the right direction.

[Help] Made custom 3DS theme but the BGM only works on one side (Anemone)

I just want to start off by saying that I just got into this stuff yesterday! I'm learning more info as I go on and working on the theme I'm using was incredibly fun.
However... the background music doesn't work well.

I followed a guide by Simsoy (can't post link since i'm new, sorry!) and everything went smoothly. I uploaded it to Theme Plaza and downloaded it so I could have it all in one zip file to use. After putting it into where I had to put my themes everything loaded...
