I'm playing Pokemon SoulSilver on the TWiLight Menu++ for my 3DS, and for some reason I can't get the cheat menu to appear while in game (or before the game) .
Cheats are supported by both the game and the DS emulator but I can't figure out why this isn't working.
I also had to do an AP patch to the rom so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it however cheats work fine when I use the AP patched rom on my PC using the DeSmuME emulator.
Based on the 3 filters (1x (START+SELECT), 1.25x (default), and 1.5x (used only in GBA mode)) found inside TWL_FIRM, I reverse engineered most of the capture card's image processor (used to capture DS and GBA screens), and made my own filters to show that sharp upscaling can be done.
But that's not all! Since the initial patcher (which was only able to change the upscaling filter), a lot of work has been done:
Remove the DPAD input filter, so you can press LEFT+RIGHT and UP+DOWN...
This is a port of Handy320 v0.1 for Dingux and OpenDingux that is based upon Handy SDL by SDLemu Team and Handy v0.90 by K. Wilkins.
The first port to 3DS was by Hippy Dave who made a fake SDL layer using Xerpi 3DS libs (sf2dlib, sftdlib, sfillib). Hippy Dave released the source (HERE) to the GBATemp community and I adopted the project.
#1. Get a "Backup" of your Sega CD (or Mega CD) game you want plus grab any Sega Genesis/Mega Drive game (as a quick dummy file doesn't matter) and also a Sega CD BIOS file (all three regions)
#2. next download four important programs if you haven't already, (Ultimate GEN-MD Forwarder Maker for 3DS, HackingToolkit3DS, XVI32 *or any other hex editor program doesn't matter* and Notepad++)
#3. now run "Ultimate GEN-MD Forwarder Maker for 3DS" first, go to Open GEN-SMD File and load your...
Hi! I'm new on homebrew and specially on 3DS homebrew. I want to do a simple game just for trying out stuff. I decided to use SDL 1.2, as it should simplify some of the low-level stuff, so I thought it was a good compromise.
I've done simple small games with SDL before, I'm not an expert but I'd say I can do stuff happen at the very least. The issue is I don't really know the specifics of how to make the game read the image and display it on 3DS. I know of the RomFS (by my understanding it...
Usage
By default, it looks for roms in the /gb directory of your SD card (NOT gateway's microSD card). As always you can change this directory in gameyob.ini by editing these lines:
I'm currently working on implementing a moonlight client for the 3ds.
Since moonlight streams in h264, this will be only usable on the N3DS.
Luckily the N3DS provides fast hardware decoding for h264 - the browser, youtube and netflix uses it.
There are a couple of Atari 2600 games that I would like to have their own icon and just start automatically (similar to an injected ROM for the supported systems). Is there a way to create a forwarder for specific emulated games?
I installed some updates and DLCs in latest version of Citra (canary 1928)
And DLCs are definitely NOT detected
I'm not sure if updates are correctly detected
Cause I dont know how to check the version of a game which citra is currently running
I've checked official website of citra
Only found how to dump and install stuff
Whilst this isn't directly "homebrew" related, it'd still be good for unleashing new life into SmileBasic.
For those that don't know, the only official way of sharing files for SmileBasic is via their official portal, which is limited unless you pay extra, and doesn't let you copy files back to your PC (or import PC files back into SmileBasic, if, for example, you want to use a better text editor, or bitmap editing tools)
There are workarounds, such as the PetitModem tool (that people may...
Have you hit the 300 title limit on your 3DS, and/or want more than 300 titles, but don't want to make an EmuNAND (or 2nd one), or use another SD card?
The answer, is 3DSBank!
With this, you can store your "Nintendo 3DS" folder into a bank, and select or create another one to use, containing your other titles (and themes, and badges).
Hey everyone! I know citra has debugging features but there doesn't really seem to be much information about them online, I'm looking to be able to scan and edit the memory values in games (like how Cheat Engine, Gameshark cheat search, etc. work) I couldn't find any info about if this exists and where to find it, any info is helpful!
I'm new here. Just wanted to ask for any hints and help with my issue.
I'm using 3DS with Twilight v. 11. Currently trying to play Zelda: Minish Cap with GBA emulator that comes with Twilight. GBA Runner 2, if I remember correctly.
The problem is, the console doesn't go to sleep as usual when I'm playing other games so the battery is drained really fast.
I found CIA for that game and tried it. That way I don't need to run Twilight and emulator. But there's the same problem:...
Lately the super mario 3d land modding community has taken off, so they made a discord server to gather and communicate. Nowadays nearly any obj can be imported into mario 3d land as a custom map. Here are just a few examples:
